课题组目前有博士和硕士研究生30人，毕业博士和硕士研究生60余人，主要从事教学、科研、设计和检测等工作。课题组主要开展大跨桥梁设计、监测和检测评定等研究工作，目前已完成近万座桥梁的检测评定工作和近百座特大桥和特殊桥梁的监测和检测工作。课题组已与国内外多所知名高校（美国佐治亚理工学院、麻省大学阿默斯特分校和加拿大西安大略大学等）建立联系，并有吴桐、高红帅和宋金良博士在美国进行联合培养，为学生的继续深造搭建了沟通的桥梁。课题组积极开展产学研结合项目，已在北京、上海、天津、辽宁、吉林、河南、云南、海南、内蒙古、福建和黑龙江等省市实施了工程项目，并与北京、上海、天津、辽宁、吉林和黑龙江多家科研机构、设计院和检测机构建立了良好的合作关系，可为学生的实习和就业创造便利的条件。
The research team currently has doctoral and master degree students 30 in total and around 60 doctoral and master degree alumni mainly engage in teaching, research, structural design and testing. The research team mainly carries out research on the design, monitoring, testing and assessment of long-span bridges, and has completed the testing and assessment of nearly 10,000 bridges and the monitoring and testing of nearly 100 super-large bridges and special bridges. The team has established contacts with many famous universities at home and abroad (Georgia Institute of Technology USA, University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of Western Ontario, Canada), and Dr. Wu Tung, Dr. Gao Hongshuai and Dr. Song Jinliang are united in the United States Training for students to continue to build a bridge of communication. The research team actively carried out cooperative study and research projects in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Liaoning, Jilin, Henan, Yunnan, Hainan, Inner Mongolia, Fujian and Heilongjiang provinces, and established a good partnership with a number of research institutions, design institutes and testing agencies in Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces, students can be recommended for internships and employment opportunities.
